Now, in a tweet posted by the official Resident Evil Twitter account, Capcom laid out its plans and additional content that players can expect to head to Resident Evil Resistance in the months to come. First, the studio reconfirmed that Jill Valentine will be joining the roster of Survivors in the multiplayer game on April 17th. However, apart from supercop Valentine, Capcom hinted that another playable character will be included in Resident Evil Resistance sometime in May.

At the moment, it is unclear who the next playable character will be. However, Capcom’s tweet included a silhouette of the upcoming character, which appears to have a masculine physique. Of course, given that Resistance is bundled with Resident Evil 3, it is possible that the upcoming character will be either Carlos Oliveria or Nikolai Ginovaef.
But between these two characters, it appears that Nikolai is the likeliest to join Resident Evil Resistance, given that the roster of Survivors will have Jill Valentine in April, so to balance it out, it is likely that the next character will be a Mastermind instead. To the uninitiated, Nikolai is one of the villains in Resident Evil 3 and almost succeeded in preventing the escape of Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveria. Of course, while it is possible that the new character will be from Resident Evil 3, it could be a character from other Resident Evil games, or even someone new.
Apart from the mysterious character, which may or may not join the list of Masterminds, Capcom’s announcement hinted that something new will be introduced in Resident Evil Resistance in June. In the photo posted on Twitter, the month of June has an “Under Construction” tape beneath it, suggesting that a major change will be introduced in the game. While this remains a mystery, it is possible that a new game mode, apart from the standard 4v1, will be introduced in Resident Evil Resistance. Additionally, Capcom’s announcement revealed that more updates will be revealed soon from July onwards.
Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil Resistance are out now for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
