The rumor in question coincided with a poster — now proven to be fake — that featured a gooey looking 7, the Resident Evil title, and a tagline that read “The War Ends Now.” Not exactly sure what war they mean, as Resident Evil hasn’t been so much about a war, but survival. This news should be particularly soothing to Resident Evil fans that felt the series lost its focus with Resident Evil 6....
However, over recent years, fans have grown a little disheartened with Capcom’s general output. Some have criticized the company for resting on its laurels, and it’s easy to see where that observation comes from. After all, Capcom seems to have kept a large focus on remastered versions of old games, rather than fully embracing the new hardware at its disposal. One look at Capcom’s projects in-progress also backs up these claims....
Recently, Capcom released a trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil Showcase, though at the time there was no indication of exactly when it would be taking place. Fans have since wondering what the developer has in store and waiting for a concrete date. Much of the what’s on everyone’s lips will be the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 8, which will be dropping on October 28. In the meantime, the presentation will be commencing just a week before that....
According to Resident Evil 2 Game Director Kazunori Kadoi and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, Capcom could be leaving the door open to a Resident Evil 3: Nemesis remake once the RE2 remake officially hits store shelves. When asked about the prospect of Capcom giving RE3: Nemesis the remake treatment, Kadoi and Hirabayashi said, “We are currently focused on Resident Evil 2 remake, getting it out of the door and seeing how everyone receives it in January, but who knows what the future holds....

Joshua Brown, 28, died from his injuries after being shot several times at around 10:30 p.m. on Cedar Spring Road, Dallas, on Friday, October 5, according to the Dallas Morning News. Brown was a neighbor of Botham Jean, who was killed by Amber Guyger in September 2018 after she entered his apartment believing it was her own and shot him thinking he was an intruder.
